Fried Ocean Store — Terms of Sale

Effective date: August 10, 2026 Applies to: purchases from the Fried Ocean merchandise store at shop.friedocean.com (the "Store")

These Terms of Sale govern your purchase of products from the Store. They are separate from the Terms of Service that govern the Fried Ocean publication at friedocean.com. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Sale.

The Store is operated by JBW Investments, Inc. (doing business as "Fried Ocean"), 466 Foothill Blvd. #108, La Cañada, CA 91011, USA.

1. Satire disclaimer

Fried Ocean is a satire and news-parody brand. The words, phrases, and designs printed on our products are commentary, parody, and creative expression. They are fiction and are not statements of fact about any real person, product, event, or organization. Any resemblance to real people or events is coincidental or used for commentary and comedic effect. The products themselves are real and are sold as described.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to purchase from the Store.

3. Products are made to order

Our products are printed on demand and made to order specifically for you after you place your order. We do not hold finished inventory of individual designs. Product images are mockups; actual colors and placement may vary slightly due to the printing process, your screen, and the garment. Slight variation in color, placement, and sizing is inherent to print-on-demand and is not a defect.

4. Orders, pricing, and payment

• Prices are shown on the Store in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise, and are exclusive of shipping and any applicable taxes and duties, which are shown or calculated at checkout.
• Payment is processed by our payment provider (Shopify Payments / Shop Pay). By placing an order you authorize us to charge your selected payment method.
• Your order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline it, and we may cancel and refund an order in cases such as suspected fraud, pricing errors, or product unavailability.
• We may correct obvious errors in pricing or product information even after an order is submitted; if we do, we will let you know and you may cancel.

5. Cancellations and changes

Because items are made to order, once production has begun an order cannot be cancelled or changed. If you need to cancel or correct an order, email hello@friedocean.com as soon as possible; we will try to help but cannot guarantee changes once production has started.

6. Sizing is your responsibility

Please review the size guide on each product page before ordering. Print-on-demand items cannot be returned or exchanged for sizing, so choose carefully. Ordering the wrong size or color is not a defect and is not eligible for a refund or replacement (see the Return & Refund Policy).

7. Returns and refunds

Sales are final except as set out in our Return & Refund Policy, which provides a 30-day window for items that arrive defective, damaged, misprinted, or incorrect. That Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Shipping

Production and delivery estimates, customs and duties, and lost or delayed shipments are addressed in our Shipping Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Estimates are not guarantees.

9. Intellectual property

All designs, text, logos, and artwork on the Store are owned by JBW Investments, Inc. or used with permission and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not reproduce, resell, or create derivative products from our designs.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Store and products are provided "as is," except for the defect remedy set out in our Return & Refund Policy and any warranties that cannot be disclaimed under applicable law. Your statutory rights, where they apply, are not affected.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JBW Investments, Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify JBW Investments, Inc. against claims arising from your misuse of the Store or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration; where arbitration does not apply, the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California will have exclusive jurisdiction. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive participation in any class action. These provisions do not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your place of residence.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms of Sale. The "Effective date" above shows the most recent revision, which applies to orders placed after it.
